Changes to SB-settings or winterboard causes iphone to go into recovery mode

Hello guys I have a iphone 4S GSM running 7.04 jailbreak. Anytime I want to make any changes to sbsettings such as enable memory status bar or try to change the themes using winterboard it puts my iphone into recovery mode. I have to redo any changes i made in order to get back to to normal mode. I don't seem to understand what's causing this. I had it jailbroken on 6.1.3 and it was fine but I guess 7.04 is causing me some issues. I would appreciate any help thanks.
