I have just tried to jailbreak my iphone 5 version 7.1.2 using the Pingu download but it doesn't work. Once done I am supposed to see a Cydia app but I don't see it. I notice on the Cydia website that you can pay to jailbreak the phone. Is this a stitch up or is there a benefit to paying them? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help :)

You can check our guide for step-by-step instructions:

I have a similar problem, i get to step 6 ok & then 1 of 3 things happen. 1- It goes in to a loop of starting up apple logo and the Pangu screen.
2- Pangu crashes along with number 1
3- Pangu times out. With no Cydia app only Pangu app.
Any ideas, this is getting dull restoring my phone.....

Are you on a Windows machine? Did you run Pangu as an administrator?

Im on Mac, so i guess not. I just followed the instructions.

Did you take a backup of your device before you used Pangu? Did you temporarily disable the passcode?

Yes i backed up, iv tried this maybe 5 times. Passcode disabled, made sure iPhoto/iTunes does not startup when it re boots. re Booted mac, re downloaded Pangu from Firefox incase there was a download conflict.
