in iPod Touch Forums
so i own a ipod touch 4th generation with ios 6.1.6. I'm trying to jailbreak using redsn0w but everytime i click on 'extras' then 'Select IPSW' i can't find my firmware anywhere. i deleted and redownloaded the 6.0 ios firmware more than once just to make sure it wasnt something i didn't do right but everytime i open the folder through my computer its empty. But when i try to look through redsn0w i can't find the folder at all or its nothing in it. It's really frustrating, ive been trying for hours now can anyone help?

    It looks like the file has been downloaded as a zip file. Look for the zip file, and unzip it, so it extracts the .ipsw file.

    Note: If you’re downloading the firmware file using Safari then ensure that auto unzip feature is disabled or use Chrome or Firefox.
