Since Apple previewed iPhone firmware 3.0; there has been a flood of rumors...

The news just keeps getting better and better! I'm glad I waited and stayed with my 2g and not buying a 3g. Definitely gonna buy the new one. And what is the new iphone going to be called anyhow??
-
yep i also hope that the upgrade is 200 dollars cause i will definitely snag it, especially when its jailbroken
-
U-Verse support.. FINALLY
-
Any idea if the new iPhone will support 4G? I'll be a little mad if AT&T upgrades to 4G in the near future and the new iPhone doesn't support it.

geogo3r
I see you posting on every topic which is good to see you active but in a past post, they stated that they cant do 4g because they still need to fix 3g. So if anything IT WONT be for the next iPhone. Maybe in a later iPhone.

Anyone know if we can trade in our iPhone 3g's for the new iPhone? Im pretty sure that they did that last year for 2g to 3g i hope its the same this year. I want more megapixels and processors
-
In my opinion also there is no way at&t gonna upgrade to 4g as there are still many cities out of 3g network like my city dothan Alabama where there is no 3g network but i still have to pay same fee that's $30 which sucks. i only upgraded my 2g to 3g bcoz. my wife wants an iphone too so i gave her the 2g without data plan.

I believe I read that article and I saw that although AT&T could upgrade to 4G they,
1. Believed it wasn't economically feasible to do so
2. Hadn't perfected their current 3G.And I'm just talking about the iphone being capable of handling the 4G band, because although it would be nice to think it could be dealt with through firmware I believe it requires a completely different band to pick up 4G connections

If you'd read on a previous post (just have to poke a little fun at you egypt ;) )
You'd see that there's an article on where you can get the best trade in values for your old iPhone. AT&T will have a tradeback/upgrade program that I believe is being implemented now where you can trade back your old iPhone and put the money it's worth towards the purchase of the next version. The amount of money you receive towards the upgrade is determined by a few factors;
1. Storage Size
2. Condition -
Yes i do rember the post about selling it now but i wouldnt want to do that because i still have a contract on it =D. So your saying the tradeback is a for sure thing? I hope so because i just want an upgraded iPhone. i Have a 16gb white iPhone and its in very good condition considering the little scratch's on the chrome. O how i despise the easiness of scratch's on the chrome...
-
I still have a contract as well so we'll have to see what happens!
-
As much as I would love to have the new Iphone I refuse to go to AT&T especially when they require you have they're data plan and crappy reception for two years. I'll stick with my unlocked 3g until I use the new one for t-mobile
