Jailbroken and want to update to iOS 8

My iPhone is jailbroken and I have changed my root and mobile password. Do I need to change them back before upgrading to ios8?

    No, you don't need to change anything. However, you will need to update your device using iTunes as OTA is disabled by Pangu (or evasi0n if you had used that).

    It is important to take a backup of your device as there is a probability of your device going into recovery mode. So you will have to restore your device again and restore the data from backup.
