Won't find iOS 8 update

Me and my girlfriends iPhones are both having trouble even finding the iOS 8 update. We are trying to connect to the OTA update and all it says is checking for update all day since 10am. Mine is a iPhone 5 and hers is a iPhone 5c both jailbroken. Even tried to master reset it and it won't reset. ? Any advice. Thanks in advance :) I'm new here

Hi There,
That's because the modern jailbreaks like Pangu and evasi0n disable OTA update.
You will need to update it manually using iTunes. You can follow our guide if you need help (Using iTunes):

Note, that it is important to take a backup as there is a chance that the update process will put your device in recovery mode. So you don't end up losing any data, and can restore from the backup if that happens.
