Safari-Google search suggestions missing

When typing in the address bar in Safari, I'm no longer getting Google auto suggestions. I have suggestions turned on in settings. I Have an iPhone 5 but have seen this same problem on iPhone 6. Anybody else seeing this issue?

I figured it out.private browsing must be deselectedor suggested results will not populate.
