Why wont my iMessage activate?

I jailbroke my IOS 7.1.2. I dont have it connected to a cellular provider, but only use it on wi-fi at home. But for some reason I keep getting the message "waiting for activation"... Shouldnt I be able to activate over the internet to send iMessages?

I think this problem is created because of jailbreak. I would recommend you to try signing out from iCloud account once and than signin back. If that don't work than go to this url https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage and deregister your apple id from here and than again signin with iMessage on your iPhone.
