There are jailbreak apps such as Cycorder which allows users to record video on current iPhones.
However, the camera on the iPhone is not a video camera so the videos are created by stitching photos taken as fast as possible.
It's not the real deal but its quite decent.

I used to have my phone jailbroken but then I restored it using firmware 2.2 and did not jailbreak it again. Everything is just like how it was when I took it out of the box....except I can still touch my battery icon and it will switch to percentage mode. I don't know how this happened but it's pretty cool.

Yeah, this looks very dodgy, these dudes are just doing this in order to get hits on their site.
Guys, my iPhone is Jailbroken and that's the whole fun of it, but to lie and bring to users inaccurate info, that's not correct.
