okay so i updated my ipad to iOS 8.1 over the wifi update, but now after it restarted once it finished installing, my ipad wont turn on unless i connect it to itunes via a computer(shows only the white charger plug with the itunes symbol). I thought gone were the days of having to manually sync it using a computer...previous updates always got done wirelessly, so why is this happening??? Oh fyi, i have no PC, laptop etc...only my ipad,which makes it a bit annoying now that i have to go in search for a pc to connect my ipad to to actually use it, and its been 3 days and no ipad so far....grrrrrrr!!!!!!

you have no choice man you should search for a laptop to fix your ipad amd i have bad news as well the ipad will be restored so if you don't have backed up your device the things on the ipad will be deleted

and the way you say that it is strange to find the ipad poping up the itunes logo it is named recovery mode go to youtube and search for it you will understand :)
