Is it possible to recover photos and messages after jailbrk if not bkd up before phone got stuck ??!

My Iphone 5 was a jailbroke phone when I got it and putmit on straighttalk. I have over 2000 pics on it and messages from my deceased son and didnt know about backing up before it got stuck in loop on apple screen. I dont want to lose them. PLEASE help me!!!!
