sub-process/usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2) help

i jailbroke my iPad 3 last night (first time i have done this) I'm getting the above error. cydia said i should run a apt-get update but i can't install ssh to run this?? can anyone please advise me on this

ps I'm running 8.1.1 and jail broke wit taiG
