Bypassing a passcode

My bestfriend was recently hit by a drunk driver, and killed. Her phone was cracked in the incident, now ive gotten the screen fixed. Myself, our friends, and her family would love more than anything to get the pictures from the device. When I got the phone back from the repair people it was already on the "locked for 60 minute" screen. We have an idea of what the code is but I don't want to risk locking us out and permanently losing the info. The phone was jailbroken. if theres anyone out there that can help us retrieve our memories it would be so greatly appreciated.
