Hi,i own an iphone 4s running ios 8.1.2,could you tell me please,if i jailbreak it will i be able to update it to 8.1.3 or a later update?Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can always update your iPhone, but you need to use iTunes as OTA update is disabled to prevent accidental updates.
