I am trying to downgrade to ios 8.1.3. Followed instructions but message from Itunes indicating " firmware for Ipad incompatable "
Any thoughts.

You mean downgrade to iOS 8.1.2? What's your iPad's model, and which firmware did you download.

Yes, Ipad air, ued 4,1 from the iphone hacks listing (12B44O) !

12B44O is the build number and not the model number. What is the model number of your iPad Air? You will find it at the back of your iPad.

You should download the iOS 8.1.3 firmware file which starts with iPad4,1.
