A way to open up and view all messages in a very long message thread without scrolling?

I have one conversation thread in my messages that has almost a year's worth of messages in it. There are some messages from the beginning of the conversation that I'd like to be able to see. Scrolling all the way up through this conversation would be futile, seeing as how I have a conversation with this person everyday. Does anyone know of a way that I can open up and view all of the messages at once?
