ios 8.1.1 help

help i was trying to restore my ipod 5g which had ios 8.0.1 and i tried restoring it to ios 8.1.1 but its stuck on the connect to tunes screen. and ive holded the home button and lock button till the apple logo appears but right after it goes back to the connect to itunes screen. please help

You cannot restore to iOS 8.1.1 as Apple has stopped signing the firmware file.

You can only restore your device to iOS 8.1.3, which is the latest version currently. You can follow our guide if you need help:
