iPhone Developers had discovered code references in iPhone OS 3.0 which had indicated that Apple might be working on multiple iPhone models. That speculation might turn out to be true as folks at iLounge are reporting that they’ve also been told that Apple’s next generation iPhone will come in two...

ATT is not currently 3.4 MBPS for me it about 350 to 600 KBBS ,
-
AT&T is at 3.5mbps but no one really gets to utilize it. I have seen it run at 3.0/3.1 mbps when I worked for AT&T. Just because YOU don't get it doesn't mean it's not at those speeds.

Theres no way you're part of the iPhone Hacks team... Your icon isn't even right.
-
i would agree its unless ur standing directly under the cell tower =)
-
And yes AT&T's 3G speed is 3.4Mbps. I'll get anywhere from 350Kbps to 1400Kbps it all depends on conditions (network traffic, weather and interference.) If you were standing right next to a cell tower and the weather was perfect and there was no network traffic, you could in theory get a speed of 3.4Mbps.

i would prefer the matte back too i see tiny scratches in my 3g one thank god for the case its alway in or it would be worse
-
plus iphones can only access it at 1.8MB/s (att is 3.6! not 3.5 or 3.7, 2x 1.8, its 3.6) so you'd never get 3.6 on your iphone.
-
I'd hate to have it be matte.
-
I would prefer the matte back. The glossy plastic is nice but it can get scratched easily and is a fingerprint magnet.
-
Matte = Slippe.
So get a case when you but this unless you have tentacles. Lol -
whoah,
I would hate to see the matte black on the iphone, like its just so boring, i know wow the shiny back attracks finger prints omg wipe it on your shirt fags,
the shinniness is the iphone, no one wants a black peice of rubber feeling crap in there hands -
I consern more about a jailbreak than the look, but I prefere the 1g´s aluminium back... let this come to the new Iphones I say, as an alternative......
Norway

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that "matte black" looks an awful lot like a clear silicon case on a black iPhone 3g (note camera area, and less flare on the apple logo than might be expected from it's usual mirror-like surface).
-
The aluminum back causes signal problems now that Apple is using so many wireless technologies.
-
I would just hate the mat black finish and will be a key factor in my decision of buying the new iPhone I currently have both the black and white iPhone 3G modles and the first generation iPhone.
-
I prefer the shiny cover. :?
This one will just look crap, but at least it will have a better grip. -
Matte is the new shiny. It was on all the runways in Paris this year.
-
so dumb
-
matte can be better. i wouldnt consider it a fashion forward, but it is more likely to keep the phone in good condition. my old T-Mobile Dash phone has the matte finish and certainly preserved its looks longer than my iphone 3g
