Help and knowledge regarding blocked Iphone

Hello guys...
I am buying an old iPhone 5s from my friend who bought from someone
When I searched for his imei in various websites which check it for free I found that it is brought in UK and locked on o2 and is blacklisted in UK but when I checked for Canada and USA it told me as clean.
So I want to know is there any risk in buying it.
I plan to use it with a turbo/gavey sim
So please tell if there will be any issue after using it for while..
The phone is blacklisted in UK and I live in India

You shouldn't be buying a blacklisted device. It means the device was lost or stolen.
You should also check the activation lock status before buying an iOS device to ensure you're not buying a lost or stolen device. Check our post for more details:

I would have done if I would really know what things are to be checked ... When I checked this imei it showed me blacklisted in UK and clean in Canada and USA... The probable reason of blacklist acc. To me is not a stolen one but a due contract pay of the carier -
You'd better use it with care. Do not record financial confidential information in it. Such as credit code, bank accout.
