..I have the Iphone 4 with ios 7.1.2 on it. For my get my swype keyboard I need ios 8. What can i do?

Unfortunately, you need iOS 8 to be able to install third-party keyboards, and since iOS 8 is not compatible with iPhone 4, you should consider upgrading your device.
You could jailbreak your device and install tweaks like SwipeSelection etc. You can check this article for more details on how you can get some of the iOS 8 features in iOS 7:
