You can try to close the Facebook when you don't use it.

You can disable Background App Refresh (Settings > General > Background App Refresh) for the Facebook app to see if it helps.
You can also try disabling location services (Settings > Privacy > Location Services). -
May be lot of apps are running in your phone even your not using it. Try to check the apps that runs on your and delete/stop those apps that are not usefull.
