iPhone 4 and upgrade to iOS 7 with possibility to downgrade again

Hi everyone. As the title says, I want to upgrade my iphone 4 to ios7 but keep the option open,namely downgrading again into iOS 6.1.3, in case iOS 7 is intolerable. Is there some kind of guide to do this. I have been looking all over the web but keep getting confused. Do I need to jb it first? Or have it jailbroken?

Iphone 4 will be allways jailbreakable. Just make a backup and move to ios 7. Runs ok on my iphone4. You dont want to downgrade from it.
