Windows 95 Running on Hacked iPhone
Folks at Russian site GooDiPhone have demoed Windows 95 running on an iPhone 3G via an emulator. I'm sure not many of you care but it's cool in a wierd way to see Windows 95 running on the iPhone. It seems some folks have also managed this on Nokia's N95....

Wow this is the weirdest thing. I acutally looked up nokia n95 hacks and saw a video on how slow it was today before this was even posted. Creepy but strangle cool lol keep it up iphonehacks

It's pretty nifty, but I can't think of a use for it other sending Steve Jobs letter about how all his Macs are belong to Windows.

Trust me, you dont want this yet. It is way to laggy to even use. Your phone will probably crash if you get a call in the middle of using this emulator. How you get it is unknown to me but dont be surprised if this isnt even realized because it doesn't look that stable.

Still amazes me what things bored people will try for entertainment, I just love the irony of it :-)

Two program I always loved and still use from time to time are sonic foundry(sony) acid pro and sound forge. it would be so awesome to edit and sequence audio loops on the iphone then transfer them to mt computer :)

lol, this is awesome. It goes to show you not only how powerful the iPhone is, but how far we have come in technology. I remember buying a Macintosh computer back when it was this giant thing and only had a 4GB hard drive. One can only wonder how much faster, smaller, smarter and amazingly impressive tomorrow's technology will be.

i did this with my psp, xp didnt work but 95 did. neither did 98 for some reason. prob the 32MB memory of the psp (all usable tho)

AND THE psp didnt take nearly 5 to 10 mins to boot up. used bochs also. i have lots of bochs experience so this would be cool if it were released.

I can picture Linux since you can run that on a netbook, but why Win95? 15 min of fame? -
there are some people who allready managed to install a simplified version of linux on it(on 3G)

it would work in this X86 emulator (the 3g linux is native so much faster, but runs no normal x86 programs) it would just need under ~32mb ram and a gui so it would be tough. better on the 3gs with more ram and speed. (gui cuz no kbd in this emu, tho it could be implemented) keep in mind that this is inherently very slow because ur emulating an x86 processor on an arm.

lol, now I feel old. I had a 386SX with 1MB of RAM and a 40MB HDD!! Couldn't even play Doom on it!!

i was a big psp fanatic, but once the iphone came out, it just died on me. sold all of em for like close to nothing :*(
