Download Older Version Apps

There's a few Apps (mainly 1) I'm looking to download older versions. I can't do the whole iTunes backup thing as the ones I do have are TOO old. I just picked up an iPhone 5 from an iPod Touch 4.
Is it possible? I know what versions I'm looking for. Every download I've tried just re-directs me to App Store. -_-
