Passlock issues

I have a iPhone 6, I dropped the phone and the screen and home button stopped working. I took it in to get it fixed and was told the logic board is broken. There was a heat sink that popped off. now my phone does not work. I plugged it in to my macbook, it shows up but since it is pass locked, I can not download my files. Is there a way around this? I just want to get my photos off the phone. or can the memory be plugged in another logic board to retrieve the data? This happened 2 days after coming back from holidays and did not have a chance to back up or have icloud back it up either.
