Control center shows iPhone and iPhone Speaker

Hi,
Very frustrated with my iPhone 7 on iOS 10.2. After a reboot all is fine for a little while and then I would loose any bluetooth connections and the CC will show only two available devices; iPhone (with an iPod icon) and iPhone speaker (with an iPhone icon). It is like the phone gets confused and wants to use the ear speaker for music. I've tried various things, but nobody has an answer.
