no i think its perfectly fine. putting in a vga cam makes absolutely no sense at all. maybe they could have added the same video cam the nano has, but i personally wouldnt want a stupid VGA cam. if anything put in a 3.2 meg at LEAST...even thats paltry by todays standards. They might add a camera later yeah, but this time around it makes sense!

Bullsh*t Steve Jobs. This is what's going to happen. The next event (when they announce new iPods), they'll come out with something along the lines of, "...so, we've listened to your requests, and all iPod Touch's will now include... camera with video capabilities!" **huge applause from audience*** blah blah blah. They always pull this sh*t. Leave something out only to bring it out next year.

agreed, its blatently obvious sum times... a lot of ppl wanted a camera on the touch and apple decided to see how much more money they could make by holding it off and giving us really nothing new for a whole year

Exactly, how could they sustain high profits if they fulfill all requests such as an internal mic, a speaker, and camera / video recorder. They know most people would by the device if it cost little more and the same size as the iphone. Just how they conveniently skipped the 16GB spot for $249 because that is what most would buy. If you want more than 8 you're forced to get the 32. It's called greed plain and simple. It has very little to do with consumer desire.
