And...the big question is, does this have any detrimental affect to jail breaking...guess time (and the iphone dev team) will tell...

The update has a third # like the 1 in 9.0.1 iTunes only went up like 0.0.1 so i think it is safe but im going to wait until iphone hacks conferms it

I just updated to iTunes 9.0.1. Don't know about the playlist order but it looks like it fixes the podcast random order only partially. Now podcasts with different dates are sorted correctly in chronological order (ascending) but podcasts with the same date are still in random order when they should be sorted in alphabetical order (ascending) also.

does it work with windows 7?
-

How about remembering my last position in an audiobook correctly?
-
I have Windows 7 RTM and it works fine.
-
For iphone? You need to select the file as audiobook (right click and Get info) and "remember the last position" setting in itunes and resync.
-
It should not affect jailbreaking.
-
You are right, it appears to be a minor update and doesn't seem to affect jailbreaking.

I think I'll wait for version 20. I'm fed up with subpar programming from apple.
And also iTunes is the most counterintuitive app I have ever seen -
hi i have a problem guys , i need help please, i updated my iphone with itunes 9.0.1 my iphone recieve and do phone calls but i can't get into da menu i have tried alot programs and nothing can someone tell me what to do ????

No, there's a bug in either iTunes or in the 3.1 iPhone OS that causes the audiobook position to get set back to where iTunes thinks it should be instead of the last position on the iPhone itself. Not on every sync, but more often than not. The Apple support forums have several threads discussing the bug, I promise it's not just a matter of checking the "remember position" box.
And 9.0.1 does NOT fix this problem, or the "smart playlists in random order" problem.

Why do I have to download 90+ MB each time a minor update is available? Why is apple so behind in app development?
