Analyst: To Double iPhone's Market Share in US, Apple Simply Has to Unlock the iPhone
While Apple is going places to increase their global smartphone market share by launching iPhone in newer markets; the newest one coming up in China soon, it seems there is a very simple alternative to drastically up the market share just inside US - by opening up to more carriers....

I haveb many friends that refuse to use iPhone because it's locked to AT&T.

ATT sucks but this phone is so amazing I just deal with it. I live In Long Island I have a minimum of 30% dropped calls. If Im on a call and the mail starts to fetch, it drops the call

Verizon is not going to take the iPhone. Did you see the DROID ads?????? Taking a huge crack at the iPhone. Not likely they woudl do this and then sign up with Apple.

Steve Jobs is a genius, but some of this decisions putting all of those restricting towards customers does it make him to a dictator?Just hooked up my new I phone and noticed that Steve even restricted the customer to copy file from windows on the I phone.. What an F up idea is this?
Phone is great piece of art and technology, but why punishing your potential and new customers???
