i agree my phone is jailbroke but winterboard doesnt work at all, can only install 1 cydia package at a time, and some of them crash constantly I hope the dev team can save me I miss my phone being all it can be

Upgraded my 3GS to 3.1.2 in iTunes, jailbroke with blackra1n, reinstalled my packages from list created by AptBackup. Winterboard and everything else working great.

most likely hold power and home button down a few seconds, and it should restart.

after you see the itunes usb logo, hold power and home button, then when u it restarts let go of power but hold the home button.

I used blackrai1n on my 3G and it won't start up. It just shows the apple logo and dies. What's gone wrong? It did work exellent before the JB.

I to am having the same issue as harry
when run blackra1n it says its running, then i get the itune/usb screen, I have held the power and home button like you said, let power button go, still holding home button for like 5 mins and nothing. I reboot and every thing is the same... i am running windows 7 and not sure if that my be causing the problem??????i have tried this like 20 times now

u can reset by holding both power and home button. i cant figure out how to explain it at the time, because i used the video and i no longer can find it!

ok so i restored and jailbroke my phone using blackrain. everything was working fine. installed cydia mobile substrate and winterboard. when it rebooted after installing winterboard it would not turn back on. the apple logo popped up and then just turned off. i tried to restart it in dfu mode by holding the home button and plugging it into my computer. it went to connect to itunes and then itunes recognized it as a phone in dfu mode. then the blackra1n guy pops up and my phone turns off again. ive tried it about 10 times now. any suggestions?

Nvm found out my problem... i forgot to close blackra1n on my computer... wow i feel like a noob.

BTW i figured out why it did this. Do not turn off your phone and turn it back on with blackra1n still on under any circumstance. it will automatically enter dfu mode and mess up the jailbreak and also prevent your phone from booting properly.

closeitunes ifit opnes the iphone should restart afert 1 or 2 min be patient
