BUT how can I be sure that the baseband version will be preserved...what file can I look at to make sure the baseband will NOT be upgraded..

i had problems geting this o work with my 8gb iphone-heres the trick ITUNES has to be open no processes eliminated-open itunes first, run blackrain,problem solve for me i saw geo gazing at me!!!

can someone with a mac use the pwnagetool and modify the 3.1.2 fw and post it somewhere?
if i understand this correctly, if we have that hacked fw, we could just use itunes to restore that fw on our iphones. right?
