Yeah, this chic sent me a picture of her #%$&€ then I sent her a picture of my &$@# only it went to some other stranger chic and now she's texting me!!! I say it's a good way to hook up! Thanks AT&T!!! You Rock!!!

I too received an odd message from some number I didn't know talking about things and people I don't know.
I just figured it was a mistake. -
I believe that this happens when someone sends pictures to multiple recipients and someone from the group that the picture message was sent to replys from that picture, everyone get a copy.

I have a similar problem, but with the conversations. I live in England and my girlfriend in the Netherlands. When she calls me it displays the number of +5719099501 and +57 is a country code of Columbia:)

I had this happen several months ago on O2 in the UK and saw the same problem mentioned on Twitter by another O2 UK user. Messages were only sent to one person in my case so it wasn't what Lonnie said above.

But I just now got a txt with the right name
but the # was in 406 ac instead of 317. -

Fido Canada here with iPhone 3G 3.0.1... I've sent a long SMS to another Fido subscriber (the ex-girlfriend) when she received my SMS she also received two random SMS which must have come from a guy who was seducing some other chic... when she received those two messages it looked like to her that I was playing her... Hence why she's now an ex-girlfriend!
Also sometimes I'll be sending Sms messages containing accents which would result into empty messages to some and for others the message would actually bug their mobile forcing a full restart of the mobile (not an iPhone)
