ProSwitcher: Multitasking iPhone App for Jailbroken iPhones is Now Available
Remember ProSwitcher? We had written a few days back about this upcoming multitasking app for jailbroken iPhone users that was not only free and open-sourced, but was also better than its competitor Multifl0w; which sold at Cydia for $5, in a lot of ways. Good news is that ProSwitcher is...

First Post!!!

It is way superior to multiflow!!!!!!!!!!
-
Memory wise, how does it compare to Kirikae. I have a 3G and every MB of memory counts.
-
how do u add a shortcut to invoke proswitcher, like double-tap home button (like in multifl0w) and where r the options of proswitcher. when i tap its icon, it actually launches the multitasking of the app by showing me the various backgrounded apps.
-
do you need to have backgrounder installed to use proswitcher?
-
Open the settings app and scroll down
-
I can only get native apps to work with this... no app store apps or cydia apps are staying open when I start proswitcher
-
Same here, is there a tutorial or guide for how to use this?
-
Clear winner, no comparison. hands down more superior. Thank you to developer. hope you could keep it free.
-
yes, you do have to backgrounder installed
in the setting menu you can select pro switcher and choose lots of methods for activation.
seems to be quite sick with the memory, about the same as kinkae or perhaps less. Give it a go....(3gs)
Defiantly better than mutiflow!
-
Native, App Store and jb apps showing up fine for me on 3G.
-
works pretty good on my 3g, I use it with backgrounder and "swipe" between my open apps nicely.
at first I uninstalled background as I thought this app would "multitask" or background the apps ,but it just lets you select between then.
no more badges to look for!

this is loads better then multiflow and its free its like christmas come early :)
-
FREEKING AMAZING!
-
definitely an amazing app, looking forward to future versions!
-
very nice so far ! nice upgrade from kirikae and faster/smoother than buggy multiflow

Really like ProSwitcher!!
___________________________A big fan of the multifl0w and iPhone multitasking. It was the primary reason for freeing the iPhone. After using ProSwitcher I have to say I am pretty impress with the results. The program is very smooth and and well implemented into the springboard. Good Job!
-
This is the way multi-tasking was meant to be! So smooth that, if you didn't know better, you'd think the iPhone came this way! I love the way you can flick the running apps up to close them (like the Pre).
-
Works like a charm!!!
Much Much better than Multifl0w.
Multifl0w was crashing for me all the time.
-
Work like a Pro. Apple can learn few things from this app
-
I think the previous blog here mentioned that proswitcher is different from multifl0w in the sense that it has built-in support for backgrounder.
-
for me multiflow.
-
awesome app. Pure genius. I will be donating on this one. I'm already finding it so useful and convenient. Thank you guys.
-
Well I have been using Multiflow for a while and often have memory leak issues (even the last version)... always ended up close to 40mb left and needed to restart SB.
So I'll see if ProSwitcher will do better than that.Anyway, after a first test I must say ProSwitcher is indeed better than Multiflow (it looks approximately the same in fact but the feeling is better...)
So I'll see about the memory it uses.

I totally agree with everything DarthRyo has to say.
-
darthryo you are josh come on man!
-
it is normal, the little icon is there, because the application is running in the backgroud. Can you imagine the iPhone without running the default phone app? :-) If you kill it manualy, the iPhone OS will run it again 'immediately'. For the small icon backgrounder is responsible and You can disabled it. Read the manual ...
-
I think you have to have backgrounder installed first. And make sure the activation methods are not the same. That's the only way it worked for me, and I love this app! It's amazing! Why couldn't the iPhone come this way? It's irritating that I need to jailbreak my phone so I can use it with more efficiency.
-
Very nice. Interesting that a browser window cannot be included in the tasks list.
-
Yep, works awesome with Cydia Apps, Jailbroken Apps, and App Store Apps. How ever....anyone notice the heavy surge of battery usage? And only have like 3 apps loaded at a time...
