    That's right, create your own. Apple has a 25 billion war chest. They're big enough and smart enough to go against Google.

    I agree, but there is no way Apple can compete with Google Maps if they start from scratch. Google has a huge place-related database (roads, points of interests etc.), while Apple only has money and engineers. Anyway, I am sure that if they do make it, it's going to be better and innovative.
