It would be a good idea in the sense of viewing web pages. The way I hold my phone my middle finger could scroll on the back of the phone eliminating any links being clicke by mistake... I'd like to see how they use it but I see it as a decent idea in theroy

wow..ppl just have no imagination.
if i were to put a touch sensitive panel on the back, it would not be across the entire back panel. it would be in a specific area of the back..and it would be for limited controls. maybe for scrolling/swiping through webpages as BrUndon suggested..or maybe for iPod controls..with all the complaints on navigating through the music, maybe Apple has come up with a solution.
as far as cases are concerned, i'm sure new cases can be made to accomodate these new features.
even tho i'm just guessing here, i think these would be great ideas...
but the odds of this happening..wouldn't it cost a lot more to make.. on an already expensive device?
