you dont need shrink to get smaller icons you can use the iSmaller Winterboard theme instead and its free.

I did this and it worked perfect, I got bored so deleted it. Now the Dock band is quite high and covers the 'dots' to show which page you're on.
Even when I change themes the dock is way too high.
Anyone know how i can change it back to its normal size?
