Ever since the Apple iPad was unveiled, the blogosphere has been abuzz with complaints about the lack of Camera and Flash on what Steve Jobs claims is the "most important thing" he has ever done. However, it now appears that there is much more to the iPad than what was...

there cant be a camera on it because there isnt the hardware on it besides the software for one.

That's why Andy has mentioned at least in the second generation iPad.

Well I did see in a other site that the softwear in the ipad did have a capture picture on it's softwear. Not sure if it was in mail or some where lik that, but the site said maybe it was a mistake that was copied from the iPhones softwear. So I don't no.

I won't purchase one till it has a camera, support for flash and until they work out any bugs... I see great possibility in the work place for this. I don't think I would need the 3G but would need bluetooth for head sets and support for scanner interface. That being said... I want one.

There isn't a camera on the iPod Touch, yet it can still take screen shot's. Perhaps this is a feature that allow's you to video what you are doing on the tablet, and the minimize thing could be allowing a user to run their normal tasks while video is still on (very benificial for app developers who want to show off the performance of the app (possible Tablet app store feature?))!
-
It could also be taking advantage of being a tablet and allowing multiple apps to run (like video as suggested above) much like how computers can run multiple applications at a time like safari and iTunes!

The iPhone OS is already capable of multi-tasking. You can take a phone call, and then access other applications without hanging up. Ditto for Safari--when you "exit Safari, it remains running in the background, with all the pages that you accessed still open and consuming resources.
Video calls could be enabled the same way, by allowing iChat to stay running in the background.
The point is that only the few programs that Apple sanctions to run in the background are able to do so. Unless you hack the OS, in which case there are several unsanctioned applications available to you for managing multi-tasking yourself.
