Pinger, the developer of popular iPhone apps such as Textfree, Hottest Free App and Doodle Buddy have announced that the company has reached profitability. The news comes on the sidelines of yet another milestone for the developer's flagship app, Textfree, which has now surpassed the one billion text messages mark....

I'd love to get that working, I'd feel like I was robbing O2 :) -
I have used this app ever since it came out...I love it...I save so much money using it instead of At&t's overpriced texting plan.. It works good and $5.99 a year verses $20 dollars a month is way better.. I'm just a little supprized At&t doesn't try to eliminate apps like this that take away their profits...Oh well..on a side note I am not cheap but I think that all plans should be unlimited and $50 a month..

What about encryption with TextFree. I have searched the web high and low and even checked out Pinger.com/TextFree website and I can't find anything on it. At least with your subscriber and/or Scype you have encryption. In today's day and age, this is critical for the safety of loved ones (stalkers), and just plain privacy.
