Is it story line based so that its worth buying 1 and 2 or is it better to just skip to FF II for the improved ...well every thing

Umm not to sound bad, but "improved" isn't what I'd call FF2... not by a long shot...
And it's not REALLY story based, so can go from 1-2 or 2-1 doesn't affect it...
