I'd be super willing to pay the extra money...if i didn't already have an iPad mini (iPhone 3G S).

I'll just get an iPad w/ wifi only, and use MyWi to tether my iPad to it. Voila!

I don't see the point of the iPad either, it is just a giant iPhone. It needs the ability to directly connect to usb devices for one thing (i.e. Printers) to be truly useful.
