there's no front facing camera with the first ipad release. why would they make an ad for the ipad that doesnt feature a camera and put it on tv for the first generation? and who would use the ipad as a camera anyway, get a real camera weirdos!

No it will not. Apple has stopped signing old firmware bundles for the 3GS. You will have to wait for a new unlock.
