What your seeing are the sensors in current iPhone.
The 'camera' is the proximity sensor and the cursor pad is the aclecometer.

The irony is that using such an app would exclude (not include) people without iPhones. It's like entering first class and separating those who paid full price from those with discount business class tickets.
