Would exchanging create problems with Cydia's licencing system if the iPad ever gets a JB?? I thought the UDID was a major part of purchased JB apps

cheaper to just hand over a new iPad rather than make individual batteries and pay for the whole process of replacing it. It all comes down to manufacturing costs and how cheap they can produce it....So it is cheaper for them to give a new one than replacing the battery.

pitiful apple, I dont see how batteries go to waste so quick that they have already fired up a plan for it. Foreshadowing performance much...? I still have the original iphone, my battery may not last but 4-8 hours during use but it still works!
