holy ****!!!! looks way better than safari
i like the tab view!!!
safri sucks compared to this but i am 100% sure it will be rejected by apple
hope to see it on cydia

We need firefox

Yeah Opera!!!! Like "i love me" said if you get rejected Cydia will be welcoming you with opened arms!!!!
-
It's gonna get approved or Apple will face huge criticism and possible lawsuit. I can't wait! I may even consider using it on my laptop but for now I'll stick to Mozilla.
-
That's a reject before it was even submitted
Why??
It shows slowfari to be ****, enough reason for binning it -
Gotta admit I was wary, but that video sure sold me on it. I'll give it a shot at least, whether through AppStore or cydia/rockapp.

i hope Apple doesn't reject this app,it is so much cooler than safari. It will help save on our data charges.Because it loads pages faster :)
-
Technically, a page loading faster in of itself wouldn't save data charges, unless it was loading LESS data (which appears to be what opera is doing... loading pages on their servers, pushing 'mobile' compressed version to Opera Mini).
Also, unless you're doing some CRAZY downloading, I don't see how anyone could exceed 5GB on a US domestic iPHone data plan. Maybe this would be an issue if you were not under AT&T iPhone contract, using cheaper 200MB plan, or another carrier (T-Mobile or international).
That aside, Opera Mini looks excellent. I'd switch to it in a heartbeat. Sadly, I expect it will be rejected.
Here's hoping... will be loading it up on my incoming iPad as well, should it be available.

Opera compresses data for transfer resulting in faster loading due to a smaller data package transfer
It looks like a catch 22 situation, Reject because it's competition to slowfari or Carrier revenue loss or accept users wanting better loading speeds & Carriers wanting a lower data traffic to speed up their services.
Soon see but not holding much hope -
Att should be pusing apple to approve it since it will save their 3g bandwidth a lot of work!! opera is making a favor to everybody here!
-
Rejected just 'cause the hell of it. Not a big deal.
Steve,
Sent from my iPhone.
-
If Opera would be rejected hope that Jobs will be placed under fatwa or hajkai.
But most likely Apple would reject Opera for good. Why? Apple also reject Picasa.
-
Hans, that made me laugh!

That made me laugh!

"Not a big deal"... hahaha...
I think opera will succeed in the end. If apple reject Opera Mini it will be big news every where, and that will be huge publicity for them if they decide to release it on Cydia... So, a win win situation for me. -
Can't wait! This better make it to the App Store. Otherwise, there's always Cydia, but hopefully it doesn't have to go that route.
