That'll be handy, but a 'word selector' after a preset amount of characters would be nice to. Switch on & offable of course :)

Just tried it on my iPhone 3G with 4.0 and I don't see a feature like this. Same old correction boxes.

Michael, 1 question: can you close an app from multitasking menu or you must go into this app and click "Home"? And how do ads look? It's annoying or it's not so scary?

The iPhone4 spell checker is unbelievably worse than the one in iPhone3. How about offering a good solid American English dictionary for the spell checker! This is absolutely terrible and it rejects repeated "accept this version" of words. Horrible!
