If the iPad got an updated GPS chip then we can expect the same update in the next iPhone... Sounds HELLA promising to me!!

That's not necessarily true. It could be a bigger, better chip that wouldn't fit in an iPhone.
Though I would LOVE for my gps to be a bit more accurate.. -
My iphone 3gs GPS is incredible.. like it will find my location within 5-10 feet it will show what part of my house i am in!, love canada : )
