Hulu Is Not Working On HTML5 Player For iPad, iPhone
Some bad news for Hulu fans. The the second largest video service in the US may not come to the iPhone or iPad anytime soon. We had heard rumors that Hulu was working on a non-Flash player to bring its content to the iPad and the iPhone. But in a...

The comment about HTML 5 was made concerning their website.
In a nutshell, Hulu's business model requires DRM and a way to show ads, etc. for them to make money, which HTML 5 mostly doesn't support (DRM especially).
I don't see why they wouldn't release an app for ipad/iphone/ipod when they could charge a subscription fee to make money and make also sure you can't download them so content providers are happy.
All you need really is to encode the videos in h.264 and you're good to go!
I think an app for Hulu is only a matter of time.

When I say "make sure you can't dwnload them" I mean te videos.
Just wanted to be clear...

you're a douche bag

Suck on that Jobs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually HTML does support some DRM but not Hulu version. No one knows what HTML5 will do or will not do yet or even how well.
No running flash on any device is like running wi-fi that does not connect to 802.11b.

"Hulu may be losing out on a significant chunk of its audience by not catering to the iPad users" lol... or Steve Jobs and Apple is going to lose out if they don't cater to their customers and just adopt Flash. Adobe must be giggling like a little school girl and Steve Jobs must be eating his own words after hearing this.. lol Does Apple really expect for everyone to bend over and take what they give them? Poor iPad suckers who never saw this whole Flash/HTML5 thing coming their way..

Sure Eddie; The 1+ mill. people who already bought iPads and 85+ mill. who bought iPhones and iPod touches are all suckers who really wanted flash. NOT! I couldn't care less about flash. I've got more than enough video clips and programs to watch available and more coming every day. Flash is dead, you just don't know it yet.

Yo Franky j, They're looking for you over at the HTC Evo blog. There's like a whole 6 comments over there! heh

Funny how Apple Fanatics will defend whatever Steve Jobs says and does. They think he IS GOD and believe whatever Steve Jobs says.
-
lol.. I actually bought my iPhone with the idea that Flash would come later on. I had no idea that Steve Jobs had this entire secret vendetta against Adobe until it slapped him in the face. The fact that it did shows you that there are a lot of us out there that do want Flash. The fact that so many of you hanging on Steve Jobs balls that hate Flash boggles the mind really.. The lack of flash on my iPhone is why I decided not to get an iPad.. I just knew something was stirring.. and seriously, why would anyone with an iPhone want a larger version of the gadget a.k.a the iPad. Mac Fanboyism at its best if you ask me.. sorry Steve Jobs but you fail on this one.. I'll just wait on google's product to come out.
-
Exactly.. As a Mac user, I'm with Adobe on this one. "We love the creativity, innovation, love, love the apps. What we love is not somebody take away the freedom of choose what they believe, how we believe and what they live on the web."
Apple in general is cool with its innovation, but Steve Jobs can go **** himself..
-
You act like googles product is not gonna look like thier phone.. They can't run windows 7 on tablet hp slate is scratched. So it's gonna have apps just like an ipad. And flash name me a phone that runs it? Adobe hasn't put a working flash player on a phone yet but what's to jump on the iPhone sure buddy. Adobe can't prove anything the Jobs said wrong
-
How funny though that companys wait till Apple comes out with a product, then sees that it's a big hit and wants to start making a product like it. They are just playin catch up every year

Google's product? You better hope that it's better than the Nexus 1. LOL Android is great, but the market is already fragmented and getting more so every day. You obviously don't understand the concept of how flash works, from a development standpoint, not a user standpoint, and why it is not viable for rapidly evolving mobile devices. A fragmented Android marketplace and proprietary "work on all platforms" flash aren't going to work well together.
