ya'll are thinking in the box. if there is ichat on phone, or things like skype or aim and such include videochat into their apps....video chat anywhere there is wifi! :D

This feature is old in Korea.. all Samsung phones already do it. Hopefully whatever network Apple decides to go with, that being At&T, Sprint, or Verizon can support the add-on of bandwith consumption.

I have the ability to Video Chat today on many of my calls and I really don't want to. There is something nice about the anonymity of a blank screen. I am not always presentable to the people I am speaking with.
This is the same reason I find myself rarely using Skype or any other video service. This is a novelty at best for me!

If I were a betting man I would say the Iphone will be available on all 3 of the major carriers with different versions.
Att will get the Iphone HD but will not have 4g since they don't offer it but will have HD video.
Sprint will have the Iphone 4g version since they are the only one offering it now.
I think that is the big announcement coming. At least i hope. Its the only way Apple can counter the huge Android wave that is on so many different devices. They need a lot more channels to make sales. -
lol I hope we get Unrestrictor so we can have the ability to have Video Chat without requiring wifi!! now that will be dope and I dig the guy with him and his wife because that came to my mind right away! (about me and my wife ofcourse!)

there is no way this will work on AT&T network. 20 percent or more of my calls are dropped (seattle). However if a new carrier is in the works.....well perhaps it will work.

I think it would be nice, but just like the teathering feature, we won't be able to use it. And or if you can use it. It will cost plenty extra. Sprints evo 4g has my best guess as the winner of this mobile battle.
