Guess we'll have to see how it turns out. I keep hoping 16% means more like 40%, but the math doesn't add up. But you know what? Even an extra 16% is great for as much crap as they cram in there!

Surely battery life is not only down the the battery, but mainly to the power consumption of the device? With this in mind, if the new iPhone does indeed run the A4 SoC, the overall power consumption should be far less than that of any previous iPhone.
Hopefully anyways.

Compared to other smart phones, the iPhone does well. My 3G always outlasts my work-mates new Hero or the others new Droid by hours and it's two years old. Not to mention that they have both had to replace their phones twice.
Here's hoping that the new design will give me a solid 24 hours use. That will allow me to travel anywhere on earth and not worry about a charge until I get there.
