I got impatient and tried to jailbreak/unlock my iphone 3g 3.1.3/05.12.01 with redsnow, ultrasnow, cydia....of course it didn't work..but the "carrier" says "carrier 5.1" and it recognizes the new sim card (shows the sim card number) did i screw the phone up or is it "half unlocked"

WTF some guy?? Are you on crack? The Iphone cannot be flashed to any CDMA carrier as it's GSM, and even if you could why would you want to? CDMA 3G only allows voice or DATA, not Voice AND DATA. GSM does. AT&T just need to spend the $200 billion to fix the network.
